Sections of Gulf Shores Alabama
Gulf Shores is the southernmost city in the state of Alabama, and it boasts approximately 28 square miles of prime real estate on the Alabama Gulf Coast. The city’s main road is Route 182, better known as Beach Boulevard, which runs east-west along the coast. Route 180 (also known as Fort Morgan Road) runs parallel to Beach Boulevard and is the way to Fort Morgan, the farthest point west in Gulf Shores. Fort Morgan features unique condo properties such as the Beach Club Resort, Gulf Shores Plantation, the Peninsula, Kiva Dunes Golf and Beach Resort, and Martinique on the Gulf.
Near Fort Morgan Road is Little Lagoon, which is about 10 miles long and half a mile wide and a great spot for recreational activities such as fishing, swimming, and kayaking. Little Lagoon is sprinkled with a number of condos, from upscale luxury towers to older, lower priced condos. Across from Little Lagoon is West Beach, a stretch of property down West Beach Boulevard that boasts a variety of beachfront homes and condos, as well as many across the street but still featuring great beach access and views. Back towards the heart of the city is Gulf Place, which is home to Gulf Shores State Park, the city’s main public beach. Here are a variety of condos that are within easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, and entertainment options. Gulf Place separates West Beach from East Beach, which is the stretch of Beach Boulevard that heads east towards Orange Beach and then Florida. East Beach features many more high rise condo towers. In fact, East Beach has more condos per acre than anywhere else in the area. East Beach is also home to a number of restaurants and activities, aswell as Gulf State Park, which features beach, camp grounds, fishing lakes, zip line course, and the state fishing pier.
